Who and what
Wim Nackaerts obtained his law degree from the Catholic University of Leuven in 1991. After his studies, he maintained links with the law department of his former university as an assistant lecturer until 1997.
Aside from lecturing, he also undertook studies in contract law and, more specifically, construction law. Contractual liability of the various building partners is a subject Wim has written a number of articles about.
In 1994, Nackaerts was called to the Antwerp bar. Wim’s favorite professional activities have always been and still are the assistance of architects, property owners and contractors in their building and real estates cases, the analysis of problems regarding joint-ownership, solving tenancy and sales issues, accompanying town planning files, always on a practical and pragmatical level.
From 1994 on, he combined his law firm with a position as lecturer in Property Law and later on as lecturer in the course “Property Law into practice”.
Wim has published a number of articles on construction law and real estate law. He is also one of the collaborators of the internet portal LIVIOS. Since the last couple of years he focuses on his office work and real estate in general.
In 2012 he co-founded Strada Legale.
