Who and what
Sylvia Lagrou graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven in 2001. She then took post-graduate training "Liquidator and Trustee in bankruptcy".

During her training period, she primarily focused on construction law (private and public contracts), as well as commercial and economic law, with an emphasis on “companies in difficulty”.
In 2005, she was appointed trustee in bankruptcy by the Commercial Court in Antwerp. In 2011 she was appointed trustee in bankruptcy for the Dutch speaking part of the Commercial Court of Brussels

Sylvia spends most of her time settling bankruptcies, guidance with WCO ’s (law on the continuity of companies, for companies in difficulty), and dealing with commercial and economic law in the broader sense. On the matter of commercial law Sylvia advices a number of well-known players on the retail market.

In 2008, Sylvia received her certificate on Juvenile Law, after which she was appointed as lawyer for juveniles.

In 2012 she became one of the founding partners of the new firm Strada Legale and deputy magistrate at the Antwerp Peace Court, 2° canton.
